OS Win XP Pro SP2
I'm trying to install WAS Commerce Server 6
and get the following message which is screwing me big time.

WebSphere Commerce installer has detected the following software
installed

IBM WebSphere Application Server - Web server plug-ins for WebSphere
Application Server.

First install of Commerce server bad so I uninstall everything now I'm
screw big time.

Both WAS App and Web servers do not think there a server installed or
plugin.

Were could I look for this info.

Out of ideas

I feel your pain.

I spent the best part of a day fiddling with this trying to do a clean
install. Deleted all the IBM folders, anything in the registry that
looked vaguely IBM, temp files, searched for "plug-ins", Googled for the
error message. I never did find it and ended up getting the machine
re-imaged.

I feel your pain.
I found out the problem look for
c:\windows\vpd.properties

do a google on vpd.properties

It contain all the commerce service install info.

If the uninstallers does a poor job and doesn't remove the info from
this file your screw big time.

On to next problem
