Multiple store fronts on 1 server, help with virtual hosts

I currently have a server running WAS 5.0.2.19 and WCExpress 5.6 that is hosting 4 store fronts.
Each store has it's own unique URL, that I am using forwarding at the domain side to redirect the URL over to the unique Storefront.
Example.. www.abc.com is forwarded to
https://99.99.799.999/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/LogonForm?langId=-1&storeId=10151&catalogId=10151
which kind of works, but the users get a warning that the SSL certificate for www.abc.com is valid, but since they are being redirected, it appears to be a spoof... which under IE 7.0 is becoming a real issue.

Any help / direction on a better way to handle this is appreciate. I logged a call with IBM last week and had a WAS person, a DNS person and a Commerce person on the line, and no one could give me an answer!

I have cross posted this over in the WAS forum as well

It is possible with Tunneling through Proxy.
For each proxied Domain you can have its own SSL key loaded and you would get away from redirection - so it will stop complaining. We currently have in use that schema and it works pretty well.

https://www.abc.com <= Direct and Reversed Proxies => https://store1.vasya.com

Look for RedBook publication how to setup proxy on providers server for more information.

Each server needs it own IP or you are going to spend an awful lot of time
working through this. You can easily add multiple ips to a single network
card and then map each store instance to that ip. You have to add the
additional IPs and hostnames to your virtual hosts in WAS.
