Cross Store Promotion not working

Hi all,

I'm trying to setup (using accelerator) a cross store promotion in WC 6.0 EE. This is done using a promotion code and works fine when setting up an order discount in the extended site store. To setup a cross store promotion i've then setup the promotion (promotion code, order discount) in the ConsumerDirectStorefrontAssetStore store. This then appears in accelerator in all extended sites (non editable) as i'd expect. However from the front end, when you enter the promo code nothing happens, ie OrderCalculate is not picking this up. I know the code is being recognised as a) I don't get the code not recognised error and b) if i try it again I get the duplicate promo code message.

So, my question is, is this how cross store promotions are setup and if so, what am I doing wrong?

Any input greatly appreciated, i've enabled WC_MARKETING trace, but this gives no clues

Dave

hi, thanks for that

I have indeed used the Consumer direct storefront asset store as described in this document. However the document doesn't mention promotions with promotions codes specifically, it only mentions shared campaigns and shared catalogs, neither of which apply to my scenario.

Would it be possible to get an answer from your end whether out of the box Extended Sites supports shared promotions using promotion codes?

Thanks,

Dave

got some info:

Promotions can be shared. Promotion code is part of promotions, therefore it can be shared too.

as I thought, however, when setup as per documention in the ConsumerDirectStorefrontAssetStore, the promotion is 'found' but is not applied to the order, so doesn't really work!

The developer says:

Can he show us a screen capture of the promotion setup? Maybe he forgot something.

Thanks,

attached are screen shots of the promotion setup, about as basic you can get, a 10% of whole order for promotion code TEST123

as said before, works fine if I do this in the extended site itself, but when done in the ConsumerDirectStorefrontAssetStore it is not applied when TEST123 promo code is entered. The odd part is the promotion code is found as there is no 'promo code not found' error message.
